Mississippi Pecan Pie

This was one of my G'ma's recipes. As I said, you can't be good ALL the time ;o)

3 eggs, slightly beaten
¼ cup sugar
1 ¼ cup corn syrup
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup whole pecans
9 inch pie shell

Combine all ingredients except pie shell in order listed. Blend well. Pour into pie shell. Bake in hot oven at 450 degrees for 10 minutes then reduce to 325 degrees baking for 30 minutes more or until a silver knife inserted in center comes out clean.
