French Canadian Meat Pie

I am a big proponent of not eating veal, but this is a recipe that has been in my mom's family for a very long time. This was a traditional holiday staple when my mom was growing up. Last time my dad's cousin Michel visited, they made on for the holidays.

2 onions, chopped
1 lb. beef
1 lb. pork
1 lb. veal
1 cup water
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch clove
1 frozen Pie crust

In a pot add the meat, onions, water, salt and pepper, clove, and the cinnamon. Let simmer for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring often. You can use Frozen Pie Dough for the pie crust. Bake in a 400° oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
