Steak and Pepper Pasta

I made this a couple of days ago. We regularly go to Sams and stock up on meat. I had these steaks (boneless and pretty much fatless) and wanted to do something a bit different then grilling. I made this up as I went along and it turned out pretty good.

3 small steaks, sliced into 1/2 inch chunks
1 red pepper, chopped
1 pk mushrooms, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 tbsp crushed garlic
1 tbsp flour
1 box beef broth, low sodium or no sodium
2 cans fire-roasted tomatoes, no sodium added
2 tbsp thyme
2 tbsp sage
salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp crushed red pepper

Brown the meat first in olive oil, transfer to a dish. Brown the onions and garlic and cook till translucent. Add the red pepper, mushrooms and cook for about 5 - 6 minutes. Add tbsp flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Then add the two cans of tomatoes, and all of the spices. Add back in the meat and all of the juices and simmer for about 10 - 15 minutes. Serve over pasta.
