Seafood Shells

This is another one of my g'ma's recipes.

4 tbsp butter 4 tbsp flour
2 cups cold milk
1 tbsp butter
12 large fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 small onion, minced
1 can shrimp
1 pkg raw scallops (small pieces)
1 heaping tsp chicken base
¼ cup dry white wine
Dash of pepper
Bread – crumbs
Grated parmesan cheese
Baking shells

Melt 4 tbsp butter over low heat. Remove from heat and add 4 tbsp flour. Mix well, add cold milk all at once. Cook again over medium heat, stirring until sauce thickens. Brown mushrooms and onions in 1 tbsp butter and cook slowly. Add mushrooms, onions, shrimp, scallops to white sauce, then wine, chicken base and pepper. Stir until thickened. Pour mixture into 8 small buttered baking shells, sprinkle with bread crumbs and cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Then broil until top is golden.
